J. David Shand – (1959-2026)

Grand Isle – J. David Shand passed away on July 30, after a short illness. He was born Jan. 18, 1959, and raised in the Bronx. A few years after graduating from high school, he moved to Vermont, where his parents had a summer home. He worked in the sheet metal trade for many years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and A/gnes, and his older brother, Charlie. David is survived by his wife, Lynda, and daughter Racheal; his brother, Robert; his sisters, Karen and Betsy; and many extended family members.

There will be no service at his request. The family wishes to thank UVM Home Health and Hospice nurses Lila and Sarah, as well as McClure Miller Respite House, for their excellent care during his final days.
