Ramona Bruley – (1959-2026)

ESSEX – Ramona Bruley, age 66, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington.

She was born Aug. 21, 1959, to the late Raymond and Anita (Jarvis) Bruley.

Her greatest joys came from her family, music, and the simple pleasures in life. A talented musician, Ramona found solace in playing the guitar and was passionate about writing and performing music. Her playful smile and joyful spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

In addition to her love for music, Ramona enjoyed bargain hunting at garage sales, flea markets, and auctions. Though she was often a homebody, she embraced the opportunity to travel and enjoyed it when she could.

Ramona is survived by her son, Dustin Bruley and his wife Abigail Bruley of Essex; grandson, Bryan Bruley; niece, Damie Bruley of Rutland; nephew, Michael Bruley of Chazy, NY; aunts and uncles, Reginald Jarvis and his wife Lorna of Alburgh, Ursula Toutant of Burlington, Jacqueline Jarvis of Isle La Motte, and Francis Jarvis and his wife Diane of Albany, VT. In addition to her parents, Ramona was predeceased by her brothers, Roland Bruley and his wife Jeannine, and Lloyd Bruley.

Friends and family will be invited to Ramona’s life celebration to include a visitation from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at St. Anne’s Shrine, 92 St. Anne’s Road, Isle La Motte, VT. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Isle La Motte.
