Vikki Marie (Mitchell) Peters – (1977-2026)
Isle La Motte – Vikki Marie (Mitchell) Peters, 49, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Though her time was far too short, the impact she made was profound and lasting.
Born March 4, 1977, to Gregory S. Mitchell and Donna M. (McCluskey) Mitchell, Vikki was raised in a close-knit family filled with laughter and tradition. From a young age, she brought joy and energy wherever she went, and her warmth, humor, and vibrant spirit defined her life.
After graduating from Burlington High School in 1996, she worked at Child Travel and later at Huber and Suhner in Essex Junction, where she met her husband, Sean Peters.
They were married on Sept. 8, 2007, and built a life centered on love and family.
Vikki’s greatest joy was her children, Cayden and Adriana. She loved supporting them and spending time together as a family. She later worked as a paraprofessional with the Alburgh School District, where she made a meaningful difference in the lives of many children.
She is survived by her husband, Sean Peters; her children, Cayden and Adriana Peters of Isle La Motte; her mother, Donna M. (McCluskey) Mitchell of Burlington; her siblings, Derek Mitchell and Jenn Mitchell of Milton, and Kelly (Mitchell) Bushey and Ken Bushey of Vershire; her brothers-in-law, Michael Peters and Michele Peters of South Carolina, and David Peters and Gina Peters of Florida; her nieces and nephews, Brandon, Dylan, Trey, Michael Jr., Christina, Josh, Jenna, JJ, and Gina; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and her best friend, Nicole Charlton of Grand Isle.
She was predeceased by her father, Gregory S. Mitchell; her grandparents, Willard M. Mitchell and Doris (Datillio) Mitchell of Burlington, and Henry T. McCluskey and June (Brouillard) McCluskey of Burlington; her uncle, Bruce McCluskey; father-in-law, Joseph T. Peters; and mother-in-law, Virginia (Milletta) Peters.
A celebration of life will be held on May 22, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the North Hero Community Hall, 3483 U.S. Route 2, North Hero, VT. Guests are encouraged to wear bright colors.
